These lovely, long, light evenings lend themselves to leisurely river walks and one of the nicest has to be along the River Mersey to Chorlton Water Park. You can walk there from Sale, Trafford or Didsbury in one to two hours. Stop off at Jackson’s Boat for a cool drink and some Salt ‘n’ Vinegars. Go on – your legs’ll love it!
It’s that time of the year again, when the roads around Knutsford become blocked with cars all heading towards Tatton Park for the RHS Flower Show. Four splendid summer days dedicated to nothing but plants, petals and pruning. This year’s show runs for 20 to 24 July and will feature gardens inspired by the premier football clubs in the region. Come on you Reds!
