Radical Art: 1789 to the Present Day is a new WEA course starting on Friday 15th Nov until 13th December from 10.30 – 12.30 at Tate Liverpool.
This course will examine the new Art Turning Left exhibition at Tate Liverpool, which opens on 8th November.
Through a combination of gallery workshops, illustrated presentations and discussions, learners will explore the history and theory of radical art from the late 18th century to the present day. The first half of the session will be held in the Office of Useful Art at the Tate where students will be introduced to some of the radical themes explored by artists during the period. The second half will be a gallery workshop giving students the opportunity to engage directly with the artworks from the exhibition.
